Producing restaurant-quality rice at home is made easy with this 5½-cup (enough to feed 1-5 people) Zojirushi NS-YSQ10* micom fuzzy logic electric rice cooker and warmer.
This is a medium capacity cooker with an attractive, unique design of a durable clear-coated bronze stainless exterior. The NS-YSQ10 features additional settings including thicker/thinner congee (porridge), short grain rice, slow cook, Premium ‘taste’ (also known as ‘Umami’) and GABA brown rice settings. This cooker is designed to be used on 220-240V, 50Hz power and is supplied with both EU and UK detachable power cords.
The NS-YSQ10 has multi-menu selections which uses Micom (micro-computerised) Fuzzy logic technology to control the temperature for the efficient cooking of many different types of rice including white, sushi, porridge, brown, and sweet rice. There is also a quick cooking feature on this model. The micro computer chip inside the NS-YSQ10 automatically makes adjustments to temperature and heating time – it ensures perfect rice every time. This is what we call the ‘yum factor’.
The Zojirushi NS-YSQ10 has an automatic keep-warm function. There is a countdown feature during the last 10 minutes of the cooking cycle and when the rice is cooked a tune is played and the cooker automatically shifts to keep warm mode. For added convenience, the NS-YSQ10 has a low light LCD display with clock and timer function (for up to 13 hours in advance), a 1.5mm Sumiflon/Teflon coated inner bowl and a convenient detachable inner lid for easy cleaning.
Accessories include a measuring cup, non-stick spatula and spatula holder.
This Zojirushi model is made in Japan.

I bought this rice cooker from YumAsia in 2013 and have been using it almost everyday since then. I grew up eating rice but my mother used to drown it in a saucepan (without even rinsing it first). That’s how she learned from her mother who lived in colonial Burma but then I suppose she had a cook!
This rice cooker never misses a beat. It cooks perfect rice every time and I now even enjoy the tasty nuttiness of brown rice and Gaba rice.
I have always been careful to treat the bowl well and never put it in the dishwasher or use metal spoons with it. Seven years on it looks, and works, as well as the day I unboxed it. It’s well worth the investment. Even my wife, who is not a fanatical rice lover says it cooks rice beautifully. Go on – treat yourself.
Bought one a couple of years ago and it is amazing, a bit expensive but zojirushi is a quality brand and I respect the pricing.
This rice cooker is my first Zojirushi and it is amazing. In particular the Premium cooking mode makes white rice fluffy and extremely tasty. Delivery was very fast (only two days) and overall service of YumAsia is very good, including responsiveness to email.
After a long hesitation from where to order and which model to get, I decided to buy this one from YumAsia. And I think I made right decision. I used to have a ricecooker from Zojirushi back when I was living in Japan. Makes perfect rice all the time. If you’re a rice lover, you’ll know the difference. Rice tastes absolutely amazing! I opted for this model than the NS-TSQ10, since this one (NS-YSQ10) is Made in Japan. I ordered Saturday midnight and it arrived here in France Wednesday morning! Perfect rice every time! Some people might think it’s crazy to spend this amount of money on a rice cooker, but with perfectly cooked rice, a wonderful keep warm function and robust build this is totally worth the money to any rice lover!
