3 Second Rapid Hot Water Dispense
Oyu is an Instant Hot Water Dispenser. It has unique technology that allows you to enjoy water at a wide range of temperatures with a 3 second rapid heat system to ensure your cup is filled fast. Temperature ranges from ambient (minimum temperature of 4°C) up to a maximum temperature of 99°C You can adjust the dispensing water temperature by 5°C intervals which means you can set your water temperature to whatever is the ideal temperature for your beverage. The amount of water dispensed can also be set up to 500ml using it's high flow mechanism

What Makes Oyu Special?
The main disadvantage to ‘traditional’ electric water heaters is that they use a lot of energy keeping a tank full of water at the correct temperature for use, usually having to reboil at intervals to get the water to the temperature you want. The alternative are traditional kettles which are very inefficient due to having to boil more water than required and a lot of the heat from the boiling water being lost due to inadequate/non-existent insulation on the kettle.
Yum Asia selected the best Japanese water heater technologies and improved on them. We found that whilst vacuum technology to was good at keeping water hot, it was not as energy efficient as on demand ‘instant’ water heating where you only heat what you need. I’ve had a Zojirushi water dispenser for 3 years now but it finally gave up on me last week. I took a gamble on this Oyu as I wasn’t sure what to expect and it is a new product. It was delivered the very next day and was well packaged. As soon as I plugged in it I knew I was in for something special when the display came alive. It just has the wow effect that I was looking for and that my Zojirushi did not have but what about the dispensing. …. It works perfectly. No dripping or spilling. I’m already used to rapid dispensing of this type so know that when the water comes out it is ready to drink straight away. No sitting around waiting for things to get to the right temperature. The 4 Litre capacity is a bit bigger than my Zojirushi water heater and can easily last a day. This is now my favourite kitchen gadget.

I didn’t know what to expect when I ordered Oyu. I just know that I have bought my rice cooker and thermal mug from Yum Asia and they have both performed outstandingly well. II’ve always used a tradtional kettle so getting used to not having to wait and dispensing instant water at drinking temperature within seconds took some getting used to. using a kettle I would often have to wait 5 minutes before drinking my hot tea because it was often too hot directly from the kettle. The Oyu dispenses it very hot but you don’t have to wait for it to reach drinking temperature because it’s already dispensed at the exact temperature you need so no burning of the tea leaves or coffee granules so I think you get the flavours how they are meant to be and I think I can even taste the difference. Apart from this it’s a beautiful machine that excels my expectations and gets a huge thumbs up from me.

Let’s be honest, who likes waiting around for a kettle to boil? Why bother when you can have instant hot water these days? Yum Asia make great products that just work. Simple, modern and elegant. This is a great appliance, so easy to use and the hot water dispense is so convenient for working from home. Just need to pop to the kitchen and in a few seconds I have a cup of tea :). Firstly let me explain that the instant hot water dispensers I have bought in the past have not been ‘instant’. They are basically just like a rapid boil kettle that still take about 30 seconds to warm up. Yes they are fast but not instant so I was sceptical with Yum Asia claim of 3 to 5 seconds dispense time. However, Oyu does just that, almost instant dispensing and a nice stable flow of water too with no gurgling noises that sound like an aircraft taking off. Oyu is quiet, fast, efficient and a must have for any modern kitchen.
