EXQUISITELY PACKAGED IN A SMALL BODY

Our Smallest Capacity Rice Cooker That Punches Above It's Size

Fitted with a HIDDEN UNDER smart logic control panel and supplied with our signature SHINSEI ceramic bowl - rest assured you are in the hands of the future.

Utilising the traditional Japanese Kamado style of cooking, rather than simply boiling the rice Tsuki uses multiple facets including Advanced Fuzzy Logic (AI) to get professional quality rice time after time.

DISCRETE AND MINIMAL

HIDDEN UNDER Smart Logic Control Panel

Tsuki is the baby sibling to our Fuji rice cooker. It doesn't have IH rice cooking but it has been designed to utilise the very best in rice cooking, design and function.

Tsuki comes in two attractive matte colours (Pebble White and Pebble Grey) - a material that makes you want to touch. A HIDDEN UNDER LED display and smart logic control panel sits at it's front with a the push button control panel that is both intuitive to use and keeps the fuss to a minimal.

DESIGN WITH HEALTH IN MIND

Traditional, Safe, Discrete Cooking

Tsuki has a stainless steel inner lid for the health conscious. It includes our signature SHINSEI handmade ceramic inner bowl that is carefully made over a process that takes several months. SHINSEI has rice measurement level lines are silk printed for ease of reading and durability. We don’t believe a rice cooker can get any more healthy than this in a body as small as this!

WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED?

Pre heat icon

PREHEATING PHASE

Tsuki starts to gently heat the rice and water in the inner bowl to between 50-60°C. This begins the cooking cycle and is key to the release of sugars into the water from the rice grains.

Absorb Water

ABSORB WATER PHASE

The cooking temperature is further increased whilst the microprocessor makes small adjustments to obtain a range of between 50-80°C so the rice can optimally start absorbing the water depending on the function chosen.

Heating icon

HEATING PHASE

The temperature is increased again to between 75-85°C to start the actual cooking process. This varies depending on the function chosen.

Boiling icon

BOILING PHASE

Tsuki then rapidly increases the temperature to 100˚C boiling point to evaporate the majority of the water from the inner bowl and to further cook the rice to soften and optimise texture.

Steam icon

STEAM PHASE – sugar reabsorption

Deep steaming then enables the rice to continue cooking while reabsorbing the sugars from the remaining water back into the rice whilst simultaneously evaporating the remaining water. This part of the cycle makes the rice taste sweeter, more nutritious, have better aroma/texture and completes the final rice grain cooking.

Cool down icon

COOL DOWN PHASE

Water balancing then occurs using low temperature range cycling to ensure there is no remaining water left and that the rice has the correct moisture content.

Keep warm icon2

KEEP WARM AND STEAM PHASE

The temperature is then held at an optimal 70-76°C to continue to steam the rice and keep the rice safe from bacteria. This ensures the rice is perfectly cooked, fluffy and delicious and ready for when you need it.

Multi Phased Cooking

Tsuki uses advanced fuzzy logic (AI) to ensure rice is cooked perfectly every time. This cooking profile graph shows how the advanced microprocessor adjusts the temperature using the weight, content type, water volume, internal temperatures along with pre-programmed conditions to cook perfect rice time after time.
Tsuki uses at least 7 phases of cooking types which includes preheat, absorb water, heating, boiling, steam, cool down and keep warm with steam which are each calculated for time and temperature using Yum Asia's unique cooking profiles.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Yes. There isn’t any problem cooking half a cup of rice in this rice cooker. We made sure that Tsuki can do this successfully – half a cup of rice comes out as perfectly as when you cook the full 2.5 cup capacity of rice.

Tsuki has two different types of capacity. It is a 0.45 litre, 2.5 cup rice cooker or 0.9 litre multicooker.

Let’s take the first two capacities – 0.45 litres or 2.5 cup. Rice cooker capacities are always referred to in litres or cups. Tsuki is a 0.45 litres capacity rice cooker and it can therefore cook 2.5 cups of uncooked white rice or 2.5 cups of uncooked brown rice – each cup is 180ml/g. So, if you want to cook 1 cup of white rice, that would be approximately 180g or if you want to cook the full capacity of 2.5 cups, that would be approximately 450g of uncooked rice.

The third capacity of 0.9 litres refers to Tsuki’s multi-cooking capacity. This means that the inner bowl can hold a maximum of 0.9 litres of liquid.

You can learn more about the capacity of our rice cookers in the following pages:

UK Capacity Guide

In our years of selling Zojirushi rice cookers, we realised that all of rice cookers on the market in the UK, Europe or the USA only had teflon/similar non-stick material inner bowls.

Based on many customer queries and opinions, we took the decision to equip Tsuki with a thick 5mm solid ceramic SHINSEI inner bowl.

The SHINSEI bowl is handmade and made of BPA-free and PTFE-free hard wearing ceramic material. A slight potters glaze is given to the surface of the bowl to prevent sticking and makes the bowl easier to clean than normal unglazed ceramic.

The level lines of the bowl are silk printed rather than stamped so they can be hard wearing but also easily read in low light conditions.

es, Tsuki has a preset timer feature. You can set this for up to 24 hours in advance, so you can have yummy rice ready for you when you get in from work or lovely hot porridge on a cold, Winters day ready for when you need warming up.

To use the Tsuki rice cooker timer you set the number of hours for when you want the function to complete (not when you want it to begin cooking).

For example – it is 9am and you want the white rice to be ready at 1pm. You would therefore set the preset timer for 4 hours. The rice will therefore be completed and ready to eat at 1pm.

  1. Irit Landgraf

I bought this a couple of weeks ago with the intention of making mostly rice and oatmeal. Both work well, and most importantly do not stick to the claypot which was very important to me. The machine is really cute and small, easy to operate and the manual has good instructions and recipes. The one annoying feature I could not figure out is how to reduce the time of the programs. The oatmeal program is an hour long at the minimum but it is too long. That’s the reason for the 4 stars, other than that I am really enjoying it so far!

  2. Maria Victoria Sanchez Gallardo

  3. miss Elderflower

Having looked for a rice cooker with a real claypot inside, I was thrilled to find this. Rice benefits from a long cooking time – plan and go for the Yumami or claypot option, and get wonderful, flavoursome rice. And a little hint: Having used an unglazed claypot for making yogurt for years: Store the claypot outside of the rice maker, allowing it to properly dry. That way it will not one day grow mouldy.

  4. Dan Marsh

Buy direct from yum asia £10 cheaper and free delivery (you also get £5 off a large 5kg bag of premium rice (not sure who needs that much)). Now I couldn’t find this Info anywhere so hope this helps:
    1. One cup of rice is enough for 2 people. This takes 2.5 cups. Easily feed 4 people when full. One cup = 90mls ~ 90g rice. Once cooked this makes 180g cooked rice.
    2. Long grain rice takes 40 minutes to cook. Yumami takes 70 minutes.
    3. The inner bowl is ceramic and easy to clean.
    4. The image shows a matte colour however in reality its shiny in colour.
    5. Measure rice in cup, wash rice, fill ceramic bowl to the same line as cups used. Close lid and turn on. Easy peasy.
    6. When you start cooking it doesn’t tell you how long is left on the screen. This can be annoying if you don’t see the time when you press start. It does beep at 10 minutes remaining which is okay.
    7. Once cooking time gets to 0, the cooker auto switches to “keep warm” mode and a timer starts counting up. I have kept rice warm for 4 hours no issues, the manual says max 24 hrs.

Glad I bought it, it’s been great. Yumami tastes the best and has the best texture, I tun on the cooker, pop to the gym come back its done. Keep warm mode is amazing!

  5. Happysenpai

Worth is price, well made and super simple to use!

  6. GUIGARD

    – va lavata esclusivamente a mano con prodotti poco aggressivi (no anche all’aceto)

    L’interfaccia è minimale chiara semplice e intuitiva.

    Sconsigliato a:
    – chi vuole molte funzioni e programmi

  8. Rebecca

Easy to use & clean. My son loves this for making his sushi. Best rice he’s made

  9. Vanta

Sicher verpackt angekommen. Verständliche Informationen, sinnvolles Zubehör. Gleich ausprobiert.
