WARRANTY TERMS
We stringently check all products that we sell to ensure they are in excellent working order. However, all Yum Asia products have our 2 year warranty,Â
This limited warranty covers manufacturing faults (including workmanship/components) but excludes accidental or malicious damage and incorrect usage of the appliance for purchases delivered in the UK, USA and Europe. This warranty provides cover for household use only of these products and not commercial use. If used commercially then the warranty is not valid.
This warranty is valid for purchases made from Yum Asia or authorised resellers. We do not currently have authorised resellers, so if you did not purchase direct from Yum Asia you will have to contact the seller you purchased from for warranty support.
We only provide warranty support in countries that we ship to. If you purchase for use in a country that we do not ship to, the warranty support will take place from the original country the order was delivered to.

Mistakes happen and the wrong product is sometimes shipped to a customer. If this happens, please contact us by e-mail immediately so we can rectify the mistake. We only provide warranty services and after-sales spare parts service for the unit which we have recorded as you purchasing.Â
BROKEN OR FAULTY ITEMS
Item develops a fault within our 2 year warranty period
If a fault develops after 30 days of receipt then we ask you notify us by e-mailing us with a full description of the problem; we also may ask for photographs to be sent to us by e-mail or will troubleshoot the issue with you by e-mail. If we cannot resolve the issue by troubleshooting, then in this instance we will arrange for return to us using a signed for delivery service (we can either arrange a collection from you or you can return it to us and we will refund the postage).
Upon receipt and inspection, we would repair your item or send a replacement (wherever possible) to you after verification of the fault (up to 2 years from purchase depending on the model). Should the goods not be received in the same condition as they were sent to you we reserve the right to charge an appropriate fee.
NOTE – Disassembly by anyone other than our own qualified technicians will invalidate this warranty. Yum Asia reserves the right to repair or replace the products at their discretion. If a product is returned to us as faulty and after inspection is found to be in working order, the product will be returned to you at your cost. Failure to comply with the warranty investigation process or return broken parts (or item) at our request will result in your warranty being no longer valid.
Please note that the warranty period is NOT renewed upon delivery of a replacement item. the duration of the guarantee will always be 2 years (for Yum Asia products) as from the delivery of the original article.
Item is broken or faulty when you receive it
If the item you purchased is broken beyond repair upon receipt, or if it develops a fault within 30 days of receipt, you must notify us by e-mailing us with a full description of the problem; we also may ask for photographs to be sent to us by e-mail or will troubleshoot the issue with you by e-mail. If we cannot resolve the issue by troubleshooting, then in this instance we will arrange for the item to be returned to us using a signed for delivery service (we can either arrange a collection from you or you can return it to us and we will refund the postage). Â
Upon receipt and inspection, we will then either send a replacement (wherever possible) or refund the purchase price (including postage). Should the goods not be received in the same condition as they were sent to you (with original packaging and accessories and instructions included) we reserve the right to charge an appropriate fee.
General returns information and terms
Under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, you have 30 calendar days (from the day after you receive your order) to cancel or return your purchase. In this case, we will provide a full refund of the goods. Please notify us by completing by e-mail before returning the item(s).
Once we have been notified of your intention to return your purchase, you have 14 calendar days to return your item to us. You will be responsible for the cost of return postage using a registered postal service (please retain the proof of postage as we require this). This cost will be similar to our original dispatch costs sent by UPS to the buyer.
All goods returned must be in a perfect and saleable condition (new and unused) with original product packaging, accessories and instructions where appropriate. If the goods do not reach us in this condition then we reserve the right to charge an appropriate fee. The parcel and its contents are your responsibility until they are received at our Distribution Centre. This does not affect your statutory rights. Yum Asia is not responsible for returned goods being lost or damaged in transit. This policy does not extend to any food items which have been opened or whose seal has been broken. Items must be returned in pristine and resalable condition.
You also must have followed the instruction detailed in the user manuals including correct usage., warnings and guidelines. Not doing so may invalidate your warranty.
YOUR RIGHT TO CANCEL
Be confident in your purchase
We very much doubt that anything would go wrong with these rice cookers as Yum Asia brand and Zojirushi have quality manufacturing standards. To reinforce this you have a 2 years comprehensive warranty for Yum Asia brand products.
The Zojirushi products on this website are not supplied with manufacturer warranties (Yum Asia provides the warranty for Zojirushi products)
– be aware that Zojirushi products purchased in Asia for use outside of the country of purchase are not covered by Zojirushi manufacturer warranties (no matter what is claimed by the seller/retailer). This is because warranties are only valid for (all) electrical items in the country in which the item is purchased. This is why we have taken the step here at Yum Asia to offer our own warranty to guarantee the products we sell.
Please be aware that Zojirushi products bought from sellers in Asia will NOT come with any type of returns policy. If your cooker arrives from Asia and is faulty it will be very difficult and costly to get a replacement sent to you from the seller.
