Producing restaurant-quality rice at home is made easy with this small 3-cup (enough to feed 1-3 people) Zojirushi NS-LAQ05 micom fuzzy logic electric rice cooker and warmer. The NS-LAQ05 is a small cooker with an attractive, unique design of a durable clear-coated stainless steel exterior. This cooker is designed to be used on 220-240V, 50Hz power and is supplied with a adetachable UK three pin plug. This Zojirushi model is made in China.
The NS-LAQ05 has multi-menu selections which uses Micom (micro-computerised) Fuzzy logic technology to control the temperature for the efficient cooking of many different types of rice including white, sushi, porridge and brown rice. There is also a quick cooking feature on this model. The micro computer chip inside the NS-LAQ05 automatically makes adjustments to temperature and heating time – it ensures perfect rice every time.
The Zojirushi NS-LAQ05 has an automatic keep-warm function, when the rice is cooked a tune is played and the cooker automatically shifts to keep warm mode. For added convenience, the NS-LAQ05 has a low light LCD display with clock and timer function (for up to 13 hours in advance), a 1.5mm Sumiflon/Teflon coated inner bowl and a convenient detachable inner lid for easy cleaning.
Please note – the LAQ05 is a very small capacity rice cooker and therefore has slightly less functions than the other models. We only recommend the LAQ05 to singles or couples who will not ever cook for anyone other than themselves.

Zojirushi rice cookers have lithium batteries that are used only for retaining timer and cooking memory for if there is a power interruption. The batteries have an estimated lifespan of around 5-10 years depending on use.
These batteries are not essential to the operation of the rice cookers but can be replaced only at authorised Zojirushi service centres if you feel you need to have it replaced. After warranty you would need to contact one of these centres if you wish the battery to be replaced.Â
We have no plans at all to sell Zojirushi Induction Heating models because the Zojirushi IH models for 220-240V power haven’t passed any CE safety tests for use in the UK or Europe so they therefore cannot be legally supplied within the UK or Europe, so this is why we do not supply them. Not only is there a voltage difference but there is a difference in the frequency of electricity used. The Zojirushi IH models are also very, very expensive to purchase (around £150-200 more than our conventional rice cooker models).
We do have our own branded Induction Heating rice cookers, Fuji YUM-IH07 and Bamboo YUM-IH15/2/B. These are the first IH rice cooker to be made for the UK and Europe. It has many unique rice cooking features which Yum Asia developed using our rice cooker/cooking expertise.

Yes, we supply spare parts for Zojirushi rice cookers for customers who bought their rice cooker from Yum Asia.Â
These spare parts need to be ordered in advance and can take approximately 8-12 weeks (minimum lead time) to come in stock.

Hi best rice cooker ever million thanks Zojirushi very neat tide only 2 things gets cleaned after each rice cooking the pot and the interior led cover. I wash it by hand very easy to clean if in doubt just use soft sponge with little detergent and thats it. Wait you wana now how to cook simpliest way ever measure 1 or 2 cups of ricew with the cup that come with or with the scale inside the pot wash away starch from rice then pour it inside and add x2 glass of water against the amount of rice you’ve added close the lid and choose of the menu then hit cook very easy durable made in japan quality.

If your a single or couple this is a great little rice cooker. Excellent build and fuzzy logic does improve the flavour over a standard rice cooker. This is small and has it’s limitations. If you want to achieve complete meals for more than three people I strongly advise a larger model. That said this does what it says on the tin. it makes the best oatmeal porridge I’ve ever tasted. The timer function is a great addition so you can wake up to freshly made porridge which will keep warm from the auto warm function and come home to lovely fluffy cooked rice. The information supplied by yumasia was excellent and they were happy to answer all my questions before purchase. Delivery was within 48 hours. I highly recommend ‘The Ultimate Rice Cooker Cookbook – REV: 250’ 2012 edition. It tells you everything about rice cookers and has 250 great recipes. Although the recipes are written for a five cup machine you can adjust the measurements accordingly. Thank you yumasia.

I’m very pleased with this, having used it for a couple of months. The cooked rice is consistently delicious; the porridge setting produces a deliciously creamy porridge from coarse or medium oatmeal; most importantly, the timer and keep warm functions mean that food is ready when I want it.
The size of this rice cooker is ideal for what I need – one cup will do me for two meals, but I can cook half that if I’m planning something else for supper.
I haven’t tried making sushi rice yet, but arborio (risotto) rice turns out very well on both the white rice and the quick cook settings. Brown basmati mixed with red lentils was also successful.
I’m glad I invested in a good rice cooker that has all the functions I want and not much in the way of unwanted extras – I think these machines are definitely ones to choose based on your own needs rather than price or appearance, but the correct one is a good investment if you’re going to use it.

I have used Zojirushi Rice Cookers for years in the US, so when I moved to Switzerland I was disappointed to find that they didn’t have them anywhere. Fortunately, I discovered Yum Asia & ordered the Fuzzy Logic 3 cup last year. My husband is in love with it & we use it everyday, it never fails us. We are now moving to the UK & have ordered 2 more rice cookers, one as a gift & the other for us, a 5.5 cup so we can make large amounts of Congee Soup. Winter is coming & this soup is the best.
I have to say that the customer service on this site is second to none, they reply instantly, they are helpful, friendly & know their product inside & out. You can’t go wrong with Yum Asia, both for the quality of products they sell & the service they provide.

We have an old ZAQ18 which has lasted us for 8 years and bought an LAQ0505 for our son at university. Unfortunately, the cooker stopped working after 9 months and was returned to Yumasia under their warranty service. We know it’s very unusual for Zojirushi to have a problem and they identified the problem as a factory fault. Yumasia immediately sent us a new laq05 which was with us in less than 3 days. Excellent service and an excellent brand of rice cooker. We shall soon be replacing our current cooker with a AAQ18 and will definitely be buying from Yum Asia.
