This means you do not get charged any import or customs fees. Our warehouse is very efficient in the dispatch of your order. Producing restaurant-quality rice at home is made easy with this small 3-cup (enough to feed 1-3 people) Zojirushi NS-LAQ05 micom fuzzy logic electric rice cooker and warmer. The NS-LAQ05 is a small cooker with an attractive, unique design of a durable clear-coated stainless steel exterior. This cooker is designed to be used on 220-240V, 50Hz power and is supplied with a adetachable UK three pin plug. This Zojirushi model is made in China.
The NS-LAQ05 has multi-menu selections which uses Micom (micro-computerised) Fuzzy logic technology to control the temperature for the efficient cooking of many different types of rice including white, sushi, porridge and brown rice. There is also a quick cooking feature on this model. The micro computer chip inside the NS-LAQ05 automatically makes adjustments to temperature and heating time – it ensures perfect rice every time.
The Zojirushi NS-LAQ05 has an automatic keep-warm function, when the rice is cooked a tune is played and the cooker automatically shifts to keep warm mode. For added convenience, the NS-LAQ05 has a low light LCD display with clock and timer function (for up to 13 hours in advance), a 1.5mm Sumiflon/Teflon coated inner bowl and a convenient detachable inner lid for easy cleaning.
Please note – the LAQ05 is a very small capacity rice cooker and therefore has slightly less functions than the other models. We only recommend the LAQ05 to singles or couples who will not ever cook for anyone other than themselves.

Zojirushi rice cookers have lithium batteries that are used only for retaining timer and cooking memory for if there is a power interruption. The batteries have an estimated lifespan of around 5-10 years depending on use.
These batteries are not essential to the operation of the rice cookers but can be replaced only at authorised Zojirushi service centres if you feel you need to have it replaced. After warranty you would need to contact one of these centres if you wish the battery to be replaced.Â
We have no plans at all to sell Zojirushi Induction Heating models because the Zojirushi IH models for 220-240V power haven’t passed any CE safety tests for use in the UK or Europe so they therefore cannot be legally supplied within the UK or Europe, so this is why we do not supply them. Not only is there a voltage difference but there is a difference in the frequency of electricity used. The Zojirushi IH models are also very, very expensive to purchase (around £150-200 more than our conventional rice cooker models).
We do have our own branded Induction Heating rice cookers, Fuji YUM-IH07 and Bamboo YUM-IH15/2/B. These are the first IH rice cooker to be made for the UK and Europe. It has many unique rice cooking features which Yum Asia developed using our rice cooker/cooking expertise.

Yes, we supply spare parts for Zojirushi rice cookers for customers who bought their rice cooker from Yum Asia.Â
These spare parts need to be ordered in advance and can take approximately 8-12 weeks (minimum lead time) to come in stock.

Ceci est le deuxième appareil que j’achète sur ce site. La qualité du service est excellente, avec une livraison très rapide, même en France.
J’avais auparavant acheté un rice-cooker plus gros (5.5 tasses), j’ai acheté celui-ci pour ma maison de vacances. Il est vraiment très petit et très mignon ! Même s’il a moins de fonctions que le plus grand, la cuisson du riz et du porrdige (c’est surtout pour ça que je l’avais acheté !) est excellente, meilleure que dans l’équivalent Moulinex acheté en France !
Il est certain que si vous faites la cuisine pour plus de deux personnes, il faut un rice-cooker plus grand. Cependant, pour de toutes petites quantités de riz (je fais régulièrement une demie-, voire un quart de tasse de riz cru), les résultats sont même meilleurs avec le petit cooker qu’avec le gros ! Et il est tellement petit qu’on peut l’emporter en voyage sans problèmes !

This is the second device I have bought on this site. The service is outstanding, with very speedy delivery, even overseas (I live in France).
The rice cooker is great. I also have a 5.5-cup Zojirushi, and I bought the smaller one for my holiday place. It is really very small and cute. There are less functions than on the 5.5-cup one, but rice and porridge are just as great.
While I agree with advice on the site to only buy this if you are sure you will only be cooking for two, you should know that for very small amounts of rice, this is actually better that the 5.5-cup one. I routinely cook half a cup, sometimes 1/4 of a cup of rice, and while it did work in the larger cooker, the rice tastes much better (and is fluffier) in the small cooker.
Also, it is so small than you can easily carry it around with you when you travel !

It’s small, round and cute, and after using it twice I know it makes delicious rice. I’m not even sure how it can taste so much better than using a pot or our old steamer, but it does…
I was slightly worried that it would be too small, but it’s really not – one cup of rice made enough for two of us, so I can happily invite people round and not worry about starving them!
The ‘keep warm’ function is fantastic, too – you can concentrate on cooking other things, knowing the rice will be there when you need it.

I was a bit hesitant first buying a rice cooker for such a price. But now I have my Zojirushi NS-LAQ05 and I’m very happy with it. The rice comes out perfect every time. And I notice that the Zojirushi is well made. I choose the 3-cup model because I cook for two (me and my wife) most of the time. And when we have visitors this model has still enough capacity, as I always cook noodles also when cooking for a group.

I bought this rice cooker because I am terrible at cooking it in a pan -half the rice burned and always got stuck to the bottom, and it didn’t taste very good. I bought a cheaper rice cooker before, but it broke within weeks of purchase. Based on excellent reviews and feedback (and my previous experience), I decided to try this one.
I am so glad I bought this. This machine cooks perfect, delicious rice every time (with no burning!). I can set the timer so I have rice as soon as I wake up which is amazing. Because I am a young lady I do not have very much experience with kitchen appliances, but I found using this rice cooker really easy! Had a couple of trials and errors, but got there in the end.
I have a little bugbear with the instructions. They state that people with mental health conditions *should not* use this cooker, which is far too broad a statement. I was quite upset by it.

I ordered the Zojirushi NS-LAQO5 on 21/06/15 and it arrived within a few days. The first time I used the cooker the rice was perfect. Since then it has been in regular use. The results are perfect every time, with a texture and flavour I have never had before. It took a while to make up my mind to buy a rice cooker but now I am more than happy with the results. The NS-LAQO5 is an excellent machine in performance, and as I am mostly on my own I find the 3 cup capacity more than adequate for my needs. An excellent machine well worth the price.
