Panda has two different types of capacity. It is a 0.6 litre, 3.5 cup rice cooker or 1.3Â litre multicooker.
Let’s take the first two capacities – 0.6 litres or 3.5 cup. Rice cooker capacities are always referred to in litres or cups. Panda is a 0.6 litres capacity rice cooker and it can therefore cook 3.5 cups of uncooked white rice or 2.5 cups of uncooked brown rice – each cup is 180ml/g. So, if you want to cook 1 cup of white rice, that would be approximately 180g or if you want to cook the full capacity of 3.5 cups, that would be approximately 630g of uncooked rice.
The third capacity of 1.3 litres refers to Panda’s multi-cooking capacity. This means that the inner bowl can hold a maximum of 1.3 litres of liquid.

May want to read instructions on use. It isn’t the most intuitive, but a very good little rice cooker that does the job.

After changing many rice cookers, I found the brand I love. One of the best rice cookers I have used. Difficult to clean around the appliance opening. I clean the pot in the dishwasher, with glass cycle.
I use the porridge setting for risotto, the long grain setting for basmati and American long grain, and the short grain setting for sticky rice. I use the slow cook function to fry any ingredients I want to add to the rice dish before I add the rice. Works like a charm. most amazing is the keep warm function. It keeps the rice perfect for hours! No change in quality, if anything the rice is even better…
It’s perfect for 2 people, but if you try to use more than 2 cups of rice you will end up with a mess that is difficult to clean. Which it fits me perfectly, since I wanted a small rice cooker to start.
Will be upgrading to one of the brand’s bigger appliances soon.

I have tried a variety of rice cooking methods and rice cookers over the years. None were reliable and some requiring constant attention. This method is proving foolproof and easy, once amounts are measured, carefully. Due to the consistency of cooking I’m beginning to appreciate different rice brands and their differing qualities. I am also able to adjust the water amounts, fractionally, to make the rice exactly as I want it. I am very happy with this rice cooker and wished I had bought one years ago.

Worked like a jewel right out of the box. Easy to use, and clear instructions in the manual, and it keeps my rice warm. I haven’t tried the vegetable tray yet, but will very soon. Meanwhile, I’m enjoying how quick and convenient it is! Yes! Recommend it!

Super easy to use, upgraded from a smaller rice cooker and its night and day. Best rice I’ve ever been able to make at home. The water lines are super visible really helps compared to my older rice cooker

It works very well and will keep the rice warm and moist until i turn it off. It was easy to setup and does everything by itself. Takes the thinking out of rice making.
