Panda has two different types of capacity. It is a 0.6 litre, 3.5 cup rice cooker or 1.3Â litre multicooker.
Let’s take the first two capacities – 0.6 litres or 3.5 cup. Rice cooker capacities are always referred to in litres or cups. Panda is a 0.6 litres capacity rice cooker and it can therefore cook 3.5 cups of uncooked white rice or 2.5 cups of uncooked brown rice – each cup is 180ml/g. So, if you want to cook 1 cup of white rice, that would be approximately 180g or if you want to cook the full capacity of 3.5 cups, that would be approximately 630g of uncooked rice.
The third capacity of 1.3 litres refers to Panda’s multi-cooking capacity. This means that the inner bowl can hold a maximum of 1.3 litres of liquid.

This is absolutely an amazing multi purpose cooker, I have made many different rices, and oatmeal for breakfast. I have used many different rice cookers and this is well worth the money.

It’s cooks different types of rice very well and is compact and right for 2-3 servings. Worth the money in my opinion. Also easy to use.

I ordered this rice cooker for our home about 3 years ago and have enjoyed it so much that I recently ordered one for my son! Easy to use, easy to clean. Perfect rice every time!

I had become aware of this category by reading a shopping site with a “Best Rice Cooker” guide. But the one they recommended cost twice as much and takes an hour and a half to cook brown rice. So I gambled on this one. I’m not a rice connoisseur, but the rice I’ve cooked in this has all been great (so far, white, brown and jasmine), and it’s reasonably fast. Easy to clean, too.

I bought the smallest unit because there’s only the two of us……..kids all up and gone. Thing is, despite being limited to 3.5 cups max, this is easily enough rice for six or seven people. Just as a basic calculation, this unit (£99) plus two big bags of Jasmine Rice should make around 80 cups of rice for 2. That works out £1.40 a pop (including the purchase price of the rice cooker). That means this unit pays for itself in less than 80 cooked cups versus those handy ones we all buy in supermarkets for £1.40…..plus you create zero plastic waste. After writing off your £99 purchase price after 80 cooked cups, your rice works out at 20p a cup versus a Supermarket price of £1.40 or so. The quality of the cooked rice is absolutely perfect, and over a pretty short time frame (for us, it’ll only take two or three months to reach the 80 cup mark), so this unit delivers fantastic cooked rice, and also makes perfect financial sense in the medium to long term. I love it.

Toller kleiner Slow Cooker.

I bought this because the pot for my Zojirushi rice cooker was chipping and losing the non-stick. I searched for a ceramic/non-toxic alternative and lots of reviews said YumAsia was the way to go. This is MUCH faster than the Zojirushi which I’m a big fan of (I believe it takes longer because the Zojirushi soaks the rice before cooking but it’s still annoying). The cooked rice turned out great and I like that it’s smaller portion sizes. Probably not good for people with big families but great for two to maybe four people. Losing part of a star because the handle is placed in a weird spot and it gets in the way of the rice paddle when placed in the attachment on the side.
