Panda has two different types of capacity. It is a 0.6 litre, 3.5 cup rice cooker or 1.3Â litre multicooker.
Let’s take the first two capacities – 0.6 litres or 3.5 cup. Rice cooker capacities are always referred to in litres or cups. Panda is a 0.6 litres capacity rice cooker and it can therefore cook 3.5 cups of uncooked white rice or 2.5 cups of uncooked brown rice – each cup is 180ml/g. So, if you want to cook 1 cup of white rice, that would be approximately 180g or if you want to cook the full capacity of 3.5 cups, that would be approximately 630g of uncooked rice.
The third capacity of 1.3 litres refers to Panda’s multi-cooking capacity. This means that the inner bowl can hold a maximum of 1.3 litres of liquid.

How I’ve ever managed without one of these before? It is a smashing fantastic device. Big enough for my husband and myself. I cook steaks to perfection and no smoky kitchen. Rice is perfect. Adding in vegetables still perfect. Fish is good too. It can cook everything even potatoes too. Just brilliant.

The ease of using this is great. Keeps warm for a long time without drying out. Daughter may steal for the dorm.

The Panda is a nice rice cooker that takes up very little space in the kitchen. I also like that I can fit the cord and rice container in side the machine when not in use so they don’t get lost. At first I wasn’t seeing a difference in rice quality from when I made it in the microwave. However I read from the company online that rice quality can affect the way the rice comes out so I changed the brand of rice I was using and the rice now comes out perfect. Who knew quality of rice could make a difference. My only regret is that I should have spent the extra $50.00 and got the model up from this one which is a little bigger and more versatile.

Il est très fonctionnel et le riz est parfait. Son volume correspond pour deux personnes mais le plateau pour cuire des légumes vapeur est vraiment trop petit. Peut-être utile pour les repas solo. Il est kawaii !!!

I have been using my Panda Rice Cooker almost daily since I first received it. It expertly cooks a wide variety of rice. My favorite feature is the ability to cook rice and steam vegetables at the same time. Although I really do not know the details of the “Fuzzy Logic” system, I do know that it really works!

It’s great rice cooker. I haven’t used it for making porridge or cake, or any of that fancy other stuff. But it cooks rice well, and the timer function is great. I’m able to wash my rice and set the machine, so when I make a meal a few hours later, or the morning after the rice is freshly made. There Drain reservoir is also great. There’s no worry of condensation getting the rice wet, just make sure to pull it out of the back to empty it, and replace it.

At first I was overwhelmed with the owners manual and unsure of which instructions to follow when making my usual sticky rice, but now that I have it figured out (1:1 ratio), this cooker is awesome! I make 3 cups sometimes and it’s still perfect! It’s easy to clean, is made in good quality, and is hopefully the rice pot that I will be able to hand down to the next generation.
