Panda has two different types of capacity. It is a 0.6 litre, 3.5 cup rice cooker or 1.3Â litre multicooker.
Let’s take the first two capacities – 0.6 litres or 3.5 cup. Rice cooker capacities are always referred to in litres or cups. Panda is a 0.6 litres capacity rice cooker and it can therefore cook 3.5 cups of uncooked white rice or 2.5 cups of uncooked brown rice – each cup is 180ml/g. So, if you want to cook 1 cup of white rice, that would be approximately 180g or if you want to cook the full capacity of 3.5 cups, that would be approximately 630g of uncooked rice.
The third capacity of 1.3 litres refers to Panda’s multi-cooking capacity. This means that the inner bowl can hold a maximum of 1.3 litres of liquid.

After using much more expensive rice cookers for quite a few years I bought this for my son. Honestly, it’s a brilliant rice cooker and produces rice that is just as good as my expensive Zojirushi. My son finds the other settings (other than rice I mean) very useful and the steaming basket is a great addition for whole meals to be cooked.

I had my first taste of the white rice from Panda and it is a triumph. The cutest thing in my kicthen apart from my husband. I love it.

Very cool cooker. Loads of features for rice. Perfect for my flat. Love the cuteness of it. has the friends asking what it is. I just bought a second one for my brother.

Surprised at how good this rice cooker is. I’ve had bigger and much more expensive rice cookers than this, but the little Panda is brilliant at what it does. Cooks rice perfectly, manual is clear with a lot of information and keeps warm really well. Had a bit of trouble with oats at first but that’s because (stupid me) didn’t read the manual and used milk, Yum Asia helped me out with what had gone wrong (tip – don’t use milk to cook the oats!) and I’ve now got perfect porridge added to the things Panda does! Definitely recommended.

This rice cooker is so very cute. The bubble shaped Japanese kawaii look is just what I was looking for. It cooks perfect rice and for the price is more than reasonable. Surprisingly it can also slow cook. I did a beef stew for myself yesterday and it was a delight with tender beef that fell apart in my mouth. However, don’t forget that essentially Panda is a rice cooker at heart and this is where it blows me away. The size is also good for my wife and I. We have a small kitchen. I may even consider Bamboo in the future as my rice consumption is already twofold since buying this beautiful machine

Small but perfect, happy beyong words that I bought this and the rice is so yummy!

This is a fantastic little rice cooker, I’ve gone through a few that aways broke or the pan coating peeled off – it cooks rice better than any other rice cooker I’ve had too. Brilliant, highly recommended and I’m really happy with my purchase.
