Panda has two different types of capacity. It is a 0.6 litre, 3.5 cup rice cooker or 1.3Â litre multicooker.
Let’s take the first two capacities – 0.6 litres or 3.5 cup. Rice cooker capacities are always referred to in litres or cups. Panda is a 0.6 litres capacity rice cooker and it can therefore cook 3.5 cups of uncooked white rice or 2.5 cups of uncooked brown rice – each cup is 180ml/g. So, if you want to cook 1 cup of white rice, that would be approximately 180g or if you want to cook the full capacity of 3.5 cups, that would be approximately 630g of uncooked rice.
The third capacity of 1.3 litres refers to Panda’s multi-cooking capacity. This means that the inner bowl can hold a maximum of 1.3 litres of liquid.

This rice cooker was easy to set up and use. The description says it does 1-3 portions but we’ve found we can easily do 4-6 portions (we measure about 60g dry rice per person).

One of the best things I have ever bought. If you trying to decide if you need it… you do! Rice lovers everywhere should have one!

I really love the rice that has come out of this rice maker so far. I’ve tried white short grain, white long grain, and brown rice – each one has been perfect! There’s several settings that I haven’t used so far that I’m looking forward to such as the porridge (congee). The only real complaint I have would be that the insert bowl is not dishwasher safe, but it’s very simple to clean. It is also a bit bulky compared to some other rice makers I have used, so make sure you have the storage space to accommodate it.

I have been using this rice cooker for months and it never lets you down. The bowl is a good size for just two people and would be ideal for up to six I would think.

Okay guys this is a big deal because I personally have experience with the more expensive supposedly better rice cookers that are priced at over $400 … I literally am coming from a $500 rice cooker that I purchased from a local retailer about six or seven years ago … I believe it was a Cookoo, Hopefully I spelled that right but probably not …. Anyways, The most important part of the review here is that this rice cooker performs exactly the same as its $500 counterparts … If you’re looking for a well-made simple rice cooker that just works, doesn’t burn your rice and keeps it warm for 24 hours after… This is the rice cooker you want to buy.

I fretted over which rice cooker to buy for months. I love Thai sticky rice which is notoriously hard to cook without extended soaking. This made it perfectly!
