I like this mug and I used it a lot. The white looks clean and minimalistic and I even use it at home while I work as I sometimes forget to drink my coffee / tea quickly but it stays hot.
However I’m quite heartbroken because I was carrying tea in my bag. The screw lid was on. But I guess it wasn’t screwed tightly enough, it leaked and damaged my iPad Pro (which is not water resistant 😭). I know I am to blame as much as the mug. However I feel there is a design flaw where it looks and feels screwed on. But unless you turn it upside down and shake it you don’t really know if it’s really screwed tightly “enough”. I think it would be better to have a visual indicator or a more binary on / off setting as at the moment basically you just have to screw it “tightly enough” and I won’t trust it as leak proof from now on.

Hi Eirini, We are sorry to hear about your accident. As with all thermal mugs you must make sure to tightly screw on the lid and not mis thread it. Iku is leak proof and has excellent heat or cold retention but only when the lid is sealed correctly. Just to be clear, it is not a design flaw – as the exact same design is used in Kinto (one of the worlds best selling thermal mugs) because our mugs are made in the exact same factory.
