I’m giving 5 stars because the rice is literally perfect. The only downside is the display is very dim

I’ve owned a Zushirushi rice cooker for years, and this Tsuki Mini is comparable for making a smaller quality of rice at a very reasonable price. It makes great medium, short and long grain rice to perfection (I use less water than the measure line) and keeps warm without burning or drying out. I’m particularly happy with the ceramic bowl and menu options. As others have noted, however, the menu panel is very small and dim making it extremely difficult to read in daylight, so I have to lift it up to my eyes to set the function. The “gray” color is slightly more “brown” than gray, but the product photo is accurate.

Why didn’t I get one sooner??!? Omg, the porridge function!!! Evening: pop in oats, water, salt, butter, sultanas, chopped apple, cinnamon, ground spice; preset the timer; wake up to porridge. Just add maple syrup and some cream or milk, mix up, breakfast ready. The ceramic bowl is non-stick, so very easy to wash. Just an amazing gadget. Rice, lentils, quinoa, cous cous all come out great. I now make whole meals in it as well – go to Insta and search “rice cooker recipes” – there are sooooo many things you can do with it. Seriously, has made life easier. There’s no standing around watching the stove. You just pop everything in and forget about it – no burning, no overspilling, can go out and do gardening, and come back to ready food. The ONLY warning from me – this one is for 1 person only, and for a small kitchen. If you’re 2 people or more, then go for their larger version (1.5 litres). Even if you’re 1 person, but have the space, go for the larger one, so you can make larger portions for meal prep.

Good rice cooker in a compact package. The clay pot gives a solid result and feels nice; although would prefer to have a dish washer safe cooking pot. The cooker is rated for 2 people, but this easily equates to 4 people with Nordic portion sizes. The screen is quite dim, but otherwise the cooker looks very nice. Would like to have a porridge option with a variable heating cycle length (only 1 h option available), but at this price the functions are quite enough.
