All of the products on this EU website are sent from our warehouse in Amsterdam, Netherlands. This means you do not get charged any import or customs fees. Our warehouse is very efficient in the dispatch of your order. This is usually done during our operating hours which are Monday-Friday (except public holidays).
What happens after payment...
When you get your email order confirmation that means that your purchase is now on our warehouse system and will already be getting preparing your item/s for dispatch. Once UPS (or DPD) have collected your order from our warehouse you will then receive an email containing details of how you can track the location of your delivery.

- Deliveries to Netherlands is usually the next working day after UPS/DPD have collected from us.
- Deliveries to Germany and Belgium are usually made within 2 working days after UPS/DPD have collected from us.

Producing restaurant-quality rice at home is made easy with this small 3-cup (enough to feed 1-3 people) Zojirushi NS-LAQ05 micom fuzzy logic electric rice cooker and warmer. The NS-LAQ05 is a small cooker with an attractive, unique design of a durable clear-coated stainless steel exterior. This cooker is designed to be used on 220-240V, 50Hz power and is supplied with both EU and UK power cord and plugs. This Zojirushi model is made in China.
The NS-LAQ05 has multi-menu selections which uses Micom (micro-computerised) Fuzzy logic technology to control the temperature for the efficient cooking of many different types of rice including white, sushi, porridge and brown rice. There is also a quick cooking feature on this model. The micro computer chip inside the NS-LAQ05 automatically makes adjustments to temperature and heating time – it ensures perfect rice every time. This is what we call the ‘yum factor’
The Zojirushi NS-LAQ05 has an automatic keep-warm function, when the rice is cooked a tune is played and the cooker automatically shifts to keep warm mode. For added convenience, the NS-LAQ05 has a low light LCD display with clock and timer function (for up to 13 hours in advance), a 1.5mm Sumiflon/Teflon coated inner bowl and a convenient detachable inner lid for easy cleaning.
Please note – the LAQ05 is a very small capacity rice cooker and therefore has slightly less functions than the other models. We only recommend the LAQ05 to singles or couples who will not ever cook for anyone other than themselves.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
No. USA units are not compatible with UK and European power supply (they are 110V and 60Hz) and you would need to purchase a bulky and expensive transformer to convert the voltage so you could use it. Transformers for stepping up voltage take up a lot of electricity when converting voltage, are bulky and don’t convert the cyclical electricity frequency of an appliance (ie they don’t convert from 60Hz to 50Hz). We have had several customers who have tried to use US rice cookers with a voltage converter and they do not work or broke within 6 months.
Japanese models are confusing as they are available in both 110V and 240V power ratings. Please take care if going this route.

Zojirushi rice cookers have lithium batteries that are used only for retaining timer and cooking memory for if there is a power interruption. The batteries have an estimated lifespan of around 5-10 years depending on use.
These batteries are not essential to the operation of the rice cookers but can be replaced only at authorised Zojirushi service centres if you feel you need to have it replaced. After warranty you would need to contact one of these centres if you wish the battery to be replaced.
We have no plans at all to sell Zojirushi Induction Heating models because the Zojirushi IH models for 220-240V power haven’t passed any CE safety tests for use in the UK or Europe so they therefore cannot be legally supplied within the UK or Europe, so this is why we do not supply them. Not only is there a voltage difference but there is a difference in the frequency of electricity used. The Zojirushi IH models are also very, very expensive to purchase (around £150-200 more than our conventional rice cooker models).
We do have our own branded Induction Heating rice cookers, Fuji YUM-IH07 and Bamboo YUM-IH15/2/B. These are the first IH rice cooker to be made for the UK and Europe. It has many unique rice cooking features which Yum Asia developed using our rice cooker/cooking expertise.

These spare parts need to be ordered in advance and can take approximately 8-12 weeks (minimum lead time) to come in stock.

Hello, Just letting you know that I received my lovely rice cooker this morning, I have just used it for the first time this evening, and eaten the results! I love it, I’m over the moon with it. This is the 3rd rice cooker I have owned in about 12 years or so. My previous two always used to burn the rice on the bottom. The 2nd one, a hitachi, was the worst – the rice would look ok on top, but would have singed and burned to a brown crust all over the bottom of the bowl, which was very depressing. So, all I wanted from this model was cooked rice with no burnt bits on the bottom (and therefore no waste) – and that is EXACTLY what I got!! Its fantastic, infact I can hardly believe it! After this laudatory praise, I should also like to describe a little how I actually found your website. For many years in a row, we had relied on a more old-fashioned Sanyo rice cooker, but even that sturdy little machine fell victim to excessive wear eventually. So we started looking for an appropriate replacement. Local ethnic stores, however, did only display various rice cookers of rather mediocre appearance, and I turned to Google searches for inspiration. Quite soon I stumbled across some blog, where a lady commented sardonically on another consumer’s query, concerning claims of durability as advertised. The commenter was already in posession of the item in question, but after less than a year the lining of the cooking vessel was marred by blistering all over. So she should never again repeat that bargain. Instead, she would rather start saving to be able to afford to invest "in the Rolles Royce of rice cookers, a Zojirushi – that should really last for ever". From there on, searching for "Zojirushi" alone led me to the US primarily, but in the next step, "Zojirushi Europe" turned up a blog asking "Zojirushi rice cooker for Europe – where can I buy?", where you had actually replied with the ‘best rated’ answer. This made us confident in placing our order, and we have not regretted this investment
