Producing restaurant-quality rice at home is made easy with this 5½-cup (enough to feed 1-5 people) Zojirushi NL-AAQ10 micom fuzzy logic electric rice cooker and warmer.
The NL-AAQ10 features an additional setting of a steaming function. This cooker is designed to be used on 220-240V, 50Hz power and is supplied with both EU and UK power cord and plugs. This Zojirushi model is made in Japan and has the same inner bowl and inner lid as the NS-TSQ10.
The NL-AAQ10 has multi-menu selections which uses Micom (micro-computerised) Fuzzy logic technology to control the temperature for the efficient cooking of many different types of rice including white, sushi, porridge and brown rice. There is also a quick cooking feature on this model. The micro computer chip inside the NL-AAQ10 automatically makes adjustments to temperature and heating time – it ensures perfect rice every time. This is what we call the ‘yum factor’.
The Zojirushi NL-AAQ10Â has an automatic keep-warm function. There is a countdown feature during the cooking cycle and when the rice is cooked a tune is played and the cooker automatically shifts to keep warm mode. For added convenience, the NL-AAQ10 has a low light LCD display with clock and timer function (for up to 13 hours in advance), a 1.5mm Sumiflon/Teflon coated inner bowl and a convenient detachable inner lid for easy cleaning..

Zojirushi rice cookers have lithium batteries that are used only for retaining timer and cooking memory for if there is a power interruption. The batteries have an estimated lifespan of around 5-10 years depending on use.
These batteries are not essential to the operation of the rice cookers but can be replaced only at authorised Zojirushi service centres if you feel you need to have it replaced. After warranty you would need to contact one of these centres if you wish the battery to be replaced.Â
We have no plans at all to sell Zojirushi Induction Heating models because the Zojirushi IH models for 220-240V power haven’t passed any CE safety tests for use in the UK or Europe so they therefore cannot be legally supplied within the UK or Europe, so this is why we do not supply them. Not only is there a voltage difference but there is a difference in the frequency of electricity used. The Zojirushi IH models are also very, very expensive to purchase (around £150-200 more than our conventional rice cooker models).
We do have our own branded Induction Heating rice cookers, Fuji YUM-IH07 and Bamboo YUM-IH15/2/B. These are the first IH rice cooker to be made for the UK and Europe. It has many unique rice cooking features which Yum Asia developed using our rice cooker/cooking expertise.

Yes, we supply spare parts for Zojirushi rice cookers for customers who bought their rice cooker from Yum Asia.Â
These spare parts need to be ordered in advance and can take approximately 8-12 weeks (minimum lead time) to come in stock.

This is my first experience with a proper rice cooker, as opposed to the dumb slow cooker sort and i’ve been really pleased by the results. Whether i’ve been cooking small or large amounts of rice i’ve had really good results with light fluffy rice.
Being able to use the timer to have rice cook either overnight ready to take to work in a bento, or for when I get home – just set the time you want to rice ready for – is such a convenience.
Finally, when you’ve finished cooking cleaning everything afterwards is easy and takes next to no time,

Have this rice cooker now for some months and am very pleased with it. We use it about 3 times a week and wish we had bought one earlier.
We mainly use it for Japanese short grain rice but have also cooked basmati in it, it makes no difference, perfect rice each time! Also very easy to clean.
The service with Yumasia was good as well, very quick and friendly to answer questions and good advice when I wasn’t sure which model to choose.

As my old Panasonic rice cooker broke down, I did some research and found some Japanese products on Amazon, but the delivery charges was sky high,then I stumbled on Yumasia website.

This is the first time I’ve bought a rice cooker, and I’m glad YumAsia exists so I could get hold of a Zojirushi one!
My first experiences from using it have made me realise that I’ve been cooking rice badly for 25 years. No more! Now I shall eat perfectly cooked rice from this cooker. Somewhat to my amazement, it even made brown rice light and fluffy – a feat I have never come close to achieving.
So far I’ve used it to cook sushi rice, white rice and brown rice. All turned out very well with very little effort. The one down side is that it’s slower than cooking rice on the hob (although I haven’t tried the fast setting yet), but that is more than compensated for by the improved flavour and simplicity of operation.
All in all, I’m very happy with this purchase, and I fully expect the cooker to last for many years to come – a friend told me he has a 14 year old Zojirushi which is still going strong. Also, the service from YumAsia was excellent and very friendly. Highly recommended!

I bought the NL-AAQ10 a little bit more than a year ago and I have been meaning to write a review all this time. I love my rice cooker. It makes the best rice I ever had and is great for Quinoa (1 measure rinsed quinoa to 2 measures water – quick menu – turns just perfect for me). It is so easy to use, even my son can cook his own rice. The timer is perfect and I appreciate having rice ready by the time I come back home. Best of it, cleaning is easy and quick.
