EXQUISITELY PACKAGED IN A SMALL BODY

Our Smallest Capacity Rice Cooker That Punches Above It's Size

Tsuki (Japanese word for Moon) is the smallest of our rice cookers both in size and cooking capacity. This makes it ideal for the single rice eater or couple.

Fitted with a HIDDEN UNDER smart logic control panel and supplied with our signature SHINSEI ceramic bowl - rest assured you are in the hands of the future.

Utilising the traditional Japanese Kamado style of cooking, rather than simply boiling the rice Tsuki uses multiple facets including Advanced Fuzzy Logic (AI) to get professional quality rice time after time.

DISCRETE AND MINIMAL

HIDDEN UNDER Smart Logic Control Panel

Tsuki is the baby sibling to our Fuji rice cooker. It doesn't have IH rice cooking but it has been designed to utilise the very best in rice cooking, design and function.

Tsuki comes in two attractive matte colours (Pebble White and Pebble Grey) - a material that makes you want to touch. A HIDDEN UNDER LED display and smart logic control panel sits at it's front with a the push button control panel that is both intuitive to use and keeps the fuss to a minimal.

DESIGN WITH HEALTH IN MIND

Traditional, Safe, Discrete Cooking

Tsuki has a stainless steel inner lid for the health conscious. It includes our signature SHINSEI handmade ceramic inner bowl that is carefully made over a process that takes several months. SHINSEI has rice measurement level lines are silk printed for ease of reading and durability. We don’t believe a rice cooker can get any more healthy than this in a body as small as this!

Our cookers do not contain BPA, PTFE or PFOA and the steam cap is removable for good hygiene.
WHAT MORE DO YOU NEED?

Be Over The Moon With This Mini Marvel

Tsuki can more than handle any rice put into it. From jasmine rice to basmati to brown rice or short grain (sushi) rice. Due to the earthenware material of it's SHINSEI bowl our engineers even managed to equip it with YUMAMI (extra tasty) rice. Learn more about it here.

It also has slow cooking and porridge included as standard add-on functions. This means you get more for your money than just a brilliant mini rice cooker!

PREHEATING PHASE

Tsuki starts to gently heat the rice and water in the inner bowl to between 50-60°C. This begins the cooking cycle and is key to the release of sugars into the water from the rice grains.

Absorb-Water.png

ABSORB WATER PHASE

The cooking temperature is further increased whilst the microprocessor makes small adjustments to obtain a range of between 50-80°C so the rice can optimally start absorbing the water depending on the function chosen.

Heating-icon.png

HEATING PHASE

The temperature is increased again to between 75-85°C to start the actual cooking process. This varies depending on the function chosen.

Boiling-icon.png

BOILING PHASE

Tsuki then rapidly increases the temperature to 100ËšC boiling point to evaporate the majority of the water from the inner bowl and to further cook the rice to soften and optimise texture.

Steam-icon.png

STEAM PHASE – sugar reabsorption

Deep steaming then enables the rice to continue cooking while reabsorbing the sugars from the remaining water back into the rice whilst simultaneously evaporating the remaining water. This part of the cycle makes the rice taste sweeter, more nutritious, have better aroma/texture and completes the final rice grain cooking.

Cool-down-icon.png

COOL DOWN PHASE

Water balancing then occurs using low temperature range cycling to ensure there is no remaining water left and that the rice has the correct moisture content.

Keep-warm-icon2.png

KEEP WARM AND STEAM PHASE

The temperature is then held at an optimal 70-76°C to continue to steam the rice and keep the rice safe from bacteria. This ensures the rice is perfectly cooked, fluffy and delicious and ready for when you need it.

Multi Phased Cooking

Tsuki uses advanced fuzzy logic (AI) to ensure rice is cooked perfectly every time. This cooking profile graph shows how the advanced microprocessor adjusts the temperature using the weight, content type, water volume, internal temperatures along with pre-programmed conditions to cook perfect rice time after time.
Tsuki uses at least 7 phases of cooking types which includes preheat, absorb water, heating, boiling, steam, cool down and keep warm with steam which are each calculated for time and temperature using Yum Asia's unique cooking profiles.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Yes. There isn’t any problem cooking half a cup of rice in this rice cooker. We made sure that Tsuki can do this successfully – half a cup of rice comes out as perfectly as when you cook the full 2.5 cup capacity of rice.

Tsuki has two different types of capacity. It is a 0.45 litre, 2.5 cup rice cooker or 0.9 litre multicooker.

Let’s take the first two capacities – 0.45 litres or 2.5 cup. Rice cooker capacities are always referred to in litres or cups. Tsuki is a 0.45 litres capacity rice cooker and it can therefore cook 2.5 cups of uncooked white rice or 2.5 cups of uncooked brown rice – each cup is 180ml/g. So, if you want to cook 1 cup of white rice, that would be approximately 180g or if you want to cook the full capacity of 2.5 cups, that would be approximately 450g of uncooked rice.

The third capacity of 0.9 litres refers to Tsuki’s multi-cooking capacity. This means that the inner bowl can hold a maximum of 0.9 litres of liquid.

You can learn more about the capacity of our rice cookers in the following pages:

EU Capacity Guide

In our years of selling Zojirushi rice cookers, we realised that all of rice cookers on the market in the UK, Europe or the USA only had teflon/similar non-stick material inner bowls.

Based on many customer queries and opinions, we took the decision to equip Tsuki with a thick 5mm solid ceramic SHINSEI inner bowl.

The SHINSEI bowl is handmade and made of BPA-free and PTFE-free hard wearing ceramic material. A slight potters glaze is given to the surface of the bowl to prevent sticking and makes the bowl easier to clean than normal unglazed ceramic.

The level lines of the bowl are silk printed rather than stamped so they can be hard wearing but also easily read in low light conditions.

es, Tsuki has a preset timer feature. You can set this for up to 24 hours in advance, so you can have yummy rice ready for you when you get in from work or lovely hot porridge on a cold, Winters day ready for when you need warming up.

To use the Tsuki rice cooker timer you set the number of hours for when you want the function to complete (not when you want it to begin cooking).

For example – it is 9am and you want the white rice to be ready at 1pm. You would therefore set the preset timer for 4 hours. The rice will therefore be completed and ready to eat at 1pm.

  1. Très fiable.

    Fiable et bon riz

  2. John Shield

This product is very easy to use and is very high quality. The capacity says for two people but I think there are four portions there unless rice is the main dish. Anyway, is a great product. Really happy to have purchased it. Got it in white. Looks great.

  3. Marc Hamer

I had held off buying a rice cooker for ages, I didn’t want another big ugly lump of white plastic in my kitchen and was not sure how much use it would be. But I got tempted by the fact that the cooking pot inside is ceramic and not aluminium or plastic – don’t want that poison in my food thank you, and I am delighted that I did. It is pretty, cute, easy to use, petite and cooks enough rice for two very hungry rice gobblers. Or if it’s just me I can cook enough for one. Ideal. I’d buy this again.

  4. Louise

Love this rice cooker! I got it as I grew sick of my badly cooked rice, either sloppy or burnt. Makes perfect rice, simple to use (just fill up the cup with rice and then fill up to appropriate waterline in the bowl) and saves so much time and effort. You have to plan ahead of your meal so you allow the cooking time but that’s fine to plan for when it means you’re not stood at the stove minding rice in a pan. The keep warm feature is helpful so the rice is still hot if you’re not quite ready for it. Easy enough to clean if you do it straight away – spoons and cup all go in dishwasher but the inner bowl needs handwashing. The ceramic is naturally non-stick so washes clean easily, just needs a quick rinse. I dry it off immediately and leave upside down on a tissue to dry fully as you inevitably get a bit of water on the bottom of the bowl, so this needs to dry thoroughly so as not to damage the ceramic. Read the instructions fully re care of the ceramic bowl! I just run a piece of kitchen roll around the seal to dry that after each use, again easy enough if you do it right away. (Or at least as soon as you’ve finished your meal.) Also has a few handy recipes, though I’ve only used it for basic rice so far.

  5. Soph

Hesitant to buy at first because of the price but we’ll worth it!

  6. Verena

  8. Diana D.

Very good quality and makes wonderful rice. Instructions very clear

  9. Rocaille

La taille est tout à fait convenable et les options permettent d’avoir un riz à point.

  10. Cam

Tsuki is brilliant! We’ve had this fab rice cooker just a few days but have already made amazing Thom Hai rice with great umami, and even the best quinoa ever. I did a lot of research before buying and Tsuki felt like the best compromise between price, quality (clay pot) and quantity of cooking (1-4 people). The machine is super easy to operate, with long grain, short grain, brown rice and a few ‘bonus’ settings such as slow cook (rice pudding) on offer. The instruction booklet is well written, easy to follow and the machine arrives really well packaged. Incedently, if you’re short on space, this Yum Asia model is also great ‘cos it isn’t so big. All in, I’d definitely recommend Tsuki. It makes great rice and other bean / pulse / grain dishes with great aplomb! Buy with confidence.
